Families and home environments are changing all over Japan. We need to look closely at these changes and identify what roles the family can fulfill and how people can build positive relationships, both within the family and in the larger community.
To do this, we need to rebuild the trust that forms the bedrock of individual families. We must look also at the broad systems and practices in society that affect family life. Because it is vital to the future of our country, industries, government, and other organizations must work together and effect change where it is needed.
JFCA promotes a balanced society in which work, family life, and recreation are all deemed important to each person’s well-being. We conduct research, direct projects, and advocate policies that further this mission. I hope that you will recognize the importance of the family as a cornerstone of society and lend us your support in these activities.
